German EVP?
Voice recorded at colonial homestead
This possible spirit voice was recorded on videotape at a historic homestead in Connecticut. This home once housed Hessian soldiers during the Revolutionary war. While this house was empty, two German words were recorded... "Gutentag" is German for "Hello"... and the second word is less clear. Perhaps it's "Wie geht's," German for "How are you?" I (Jeff Messenger) can testify that no one present at this location had anything close to the deep, toneful quality of this voice. All EVPs and photos are the sole property of SPI, no one is to reproduce them without written permission.
UPDATE: A website visitor from Germany has translated the second word for me! Here is his letter:
Hi,
My name is Tom. I am fom germany - I saw your site and listened to your
SPIRIT VOCE file that is german.
I am 99% sure the second part of the message is "WER RIEF?" what means -
"WHO CALLED?"
I played the file a few times on my pc without any changes of the material.
No doubt for me the voice was asking "WER RIEF?" (who called?)
I hope I could help you,
keep up the great work!
